I built the coaching tool I couldn’t find.

I’m a 20-year-old college runner — and I coach my former high school team. Stride is the app I made to make that double life work.

Running, school, and coaching — all at once.

Between my own training, a full course load, and coaching my old high school team, something always slipped. I was writing workouts on my phone, keeping mileage in my head, and running a roster out of a group text — and none of it talked to each other.

Every running app I tried was built for one runner. Every team app I tried didn’t understand running at all. Nothing was made for a coach who was also an athlete, trying to keep a whole team moving.

So I stopped waiting for it to exist, and started building it myself.

One place for the whole running life.

Stride became the tool I wished I’d had: plan training, track PRs and races, and actually run a team — leaderboards, rosters, a shared calendar, and a private coaching co-pilot — all in one app. Every feature comes from a real problem I hit as a runner or a coach.

Now I’m focused on one thing: making Stride the best app for coaches and runners, period. It’s free for your whole team, and it’s only getting better.

I share the runner’s life, too.

Training, coaching, racing, and everything I’m learning building Stride — I post it all on Instagram and YouTube @coachjohnXC.
